Hans So-Low's Story...
Hans is a miniature Black & Tan longhaired dachshund. He is 1.5 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Being young and playful, he loves to grabs things he shouldn't and run off with them. He is not destructive, but, his curiosity can get him into trouble if he is left to his own devices. Hans is leash trained (needs some more training), crate trained, likes car rides and loves to play. He is house trained, BUT for continued success Hans still needs to be let outside every 2-4 hours. Hans loves to play with Ricky they play for long periods then nap together and recharge. Hans and Ricky will be adopted as a pair. The best home for Hans and Ricky will have no large, aggressive or alpha dogs, a fenced yard and if children are in the home they will be 9 years old or older. The adoption process includes completing & submitting an online adoption application, reference checks including a veterinary reference.and home visit. Hans is fully vetted. Adoption fee $250.00, smiles and laughs priceless. Ricky's adoption fee is $225.00, he will be a devoted companion for life. Together Ricky and Hans will provide daily entertainment. This pair is available for Colorado adoption only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hans So-Low, a Louisville Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
