Barney is a 5 yr old, 13 lbs Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso mix. Before we rescued him, he seemed to have had a rough life, after having been found on the streets. Fast forward a couple months, he is nicely groomed, suited & booted, and has found his smile again! Barney is a super friendly and loyal dog who is housetrained and excellent on leash; if you're looking for a co-pilot, Barney LOVES car rides, too!
Barney seems a little intimidated around small kids. We do not recommend him for a first time dog owner as he can be nippy with adults and kids. He needs an experienced, patient hand to set boundaries for his behavior. He is good with other dogs, but can take it or leave it- he doesn't mind getting ALL of your attention, as he loves to hop on your lap and lick your ears!
Barney's ideal home would give him a healthy balance of adventure with suitable Sunday football couch potato time as well, and we just know that he would be an eternally grateful companion for the rest of his life.
