Peanut's Story...
Peanut is a sweet girl looking for a loving forever home. She wouldn't mind living with another mellow male feline and has lived with dogs in the past. Any children should be over 10 and understand that she is a little on the independent side and doesn't want to be bothered all the time. Peanut is very affectionate and has no problem letting you know when she's in the mood for some love, rubbing up against your legs and flirting until you give in and pet her. She is a very playful girl and loves chasing after fun, feathery toys. She would love a tall cat tree where she can hang out up high and watch the world go by. This will also provide her with an appropriate place to stretch and scratch. If you think Peanut would be a good fit for your home, please fill out an adoption application at the front desk so you can meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
