"Cotton"'s Story...
Meet Cotton he is a handsome soft Bichon Maltese mix a 18 mo. old 17 pound smart athletic boy. My adoption fee is $595. I am a Maltese Bichon mix (Malti- Bichon) and I am a LOVER! I like to follow my foster daddy around the house and try to sneak in a hug whenever possible. I get along with dogs and cats, and I am very silly. I am crate trained, and know how to walk on a leash and I’m almost potty trained. I am very well-behaved. I am considered hypo-allergenic and require grooming every 6 weeks, My favorite pastime is running and playing with other dogs my size. I will need to have a fully fenced yard as I like to play chase, and I will need someone to play with that has four-legs – so if you already have a dog, that would be perfect. I also walk on a leash, but that will not be enough exercise for me.I have long legs and they need to run; I am high energy in a good way! I like to exercise and hopefully you too! I am so happy to be in Seattle and looking forward to my forever home. I am fostered North of Seattle if interested please submit a online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. A adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet @6dogrees.com. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check and references required prior to adoption approval.
Cotton’s adoption fee includes: Neuter, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we "save it forward" so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

"Cotton", a Seattle Maltese/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Bichon Frise for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Maltese/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Maltese/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
