My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Massachusetts state law requires that any cat with any kind of a “wound of unknown origin”, no matter how minor, whose vaccination history is unknown, be placed in quarantine for six months. These two girls have finished their six-month quarantine and are now ready for their forever home. They are about a year and a half old.

HARATI is a little long-haired tortie tabby (“torbie”) with a cream-colored ruff and paws. She arrived very skinny, and we have been fattening her up and grooming her, and now she really looks good. She had some scrapes and digs and also had about 2/3 of her tail removed. What’s left was shaved but has grown back fluffy. She is very sweet and tolerates her bossy sister. And she is a really pretty kitty.

OMBRE is a little medium-haired calico, mostly white, who may be Harati’s sister. She has a fluffy tail and very pretty markings. She was also very skinny and also had some scrapes and digs. She has also benefited from good food and some regular grooming. She likes people, loves to be groomed, and wiggles with delight. She reaches up with her front paws as if to say “please cuddle me”.

The two girls were put together, and they act like --- sisters. Ombre is the boss. They have now been moved from the quarantine room to a slightly larger room with new cats to meet. They seem to get along fine with the other cats. They have become much friendlier and more outgoing during their time here, having been a little untrusting at the beginning. Now they seek out attention (especially if food is being prepared), and have no problem with being picked up and cuddled.

These two would like to go home together. Even though they argue, they still love each other. Maybe a home that is bigger than our little room would give each one some space of her own. If you would like a ready-made feline family, these two might be just right. Come and see !!
