Bella Boo came to Chihuahua Rescue when her mom, who loved her so very much, could no longer care for her. All that love Bella Boo received from her is very evident, as Bella Boo is a calm, quiet girl who loves nothing better than to be in your lap and rest her head on your shoulder while you love on her.
What Bella Boo loves almost as much as being in your lap is toys! Bella Boo loves to play with small, plush squeaky toys and carry them around in her mouth. She will greet you when you come home with tail wagging and a toy in her mouth! She loves to take them outside with her (though she never seems to bring them back inside).
Bella Boo gets along great with all the other Chis in her foster home and loves to lay and soak up the sun with them. The only time she barks is when the rest of the dogs are barking at a noise or that pesky squirrel that forever teases them by running along the top of the fence. She is house broken (will use a pee pad if needed) and crate trained. She sleeps overnight in her kennel (though does not get into any mischief if she is not crated overnight), and is also crated while her foster mom is at work. At mealtime she runs right into her kennel to get her food (she and all her foster siblings are crated at meal time so no one "bowl surfs"; (eats out of someone else's bowl). She eats up all her food and really loves treats -- even frozen green beans and baby carrots!
If you take a daily walk, Bella Boo makes a great walking companion! She absolutely loves to go for walks! She is awesome on a leash and harness and walks well with her foster siblings. She is also polite to all the other dogs and people she meets on her walks.
Bella Boo would make a wonderful companion for an active, yet calm, couple or family with older children (10 and up). She needs people that will love her and give her the care and attention that she needs for her for the rest of her long life -- Bella is only 4 years old and Chihuahuas can live up to 18 years! And though Bella Boo would probably be fine as an only dog, she really enjoys the company of other small dogs.
Bella Boo is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $200 adoption fee required.
