Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.
NAME: Mia
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 3 years
WEIGHT: About 6-7 Pounds
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Gets along with children
COAT: Long Hair Chihuahua
Mia is a beautiful tri-colored long hair Chihuahua. She is a sweet girl and is looking for her forever home.
Mia was found as a stray by a good Samaritan. She had no collar and no micro-chip. Despite their best efforts, Mia's original family could not be found. CRT was called and asked if we could provide a safe home for Mia and help her find a new family. We were delighted to have Mia join our program.
Mia is a bit shy when you first meet her. It can take her a few days to warm up to new environments and new people. But once she is comfortable, she relaxes and fits right in to your family routine. Her new family will want to be aware of this "warm up" period. She just wants to feel safe and secure, then she gives you her heart forever!
Mia is a super sweet girl. She loves her humans, and wants to be near them at all times. Mia enjoys affection, and is super excited to receive belly rubs from you. She prefers to sit right next to you (versus on your lap) while you are chilling at night. Mia enjoys being a part of the family and wants someone to love her. Mia gets along with people of all ages, including children (there are children in her foster home).
Mia also gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. She loves to play with them and hang out with them. One of her favorite things to do is to go out into the yard and explore. She also loves to chase squirrels, and to lay in the sun. She also enjoys taking walks with her humans. If you love the outdoors, Mia will love exploring with you! Mia would do great as an only dog, or as part of a pack.
Mia is a smart girl. She picked up the routines in her foster home quickly. She is potty trained and crate trained (although she would prefer to sleep in bed with you!). She is a quiet dog, only occasionally barking when the garbage men are making too much noise out front!
Mia is about 3 years old and has some great years ahead of her. She would do well in an adult home or also a home with children. She is the perfect weight at about 6 - 7 pounds. We know Mia will find her perfect home soon.
Mia is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
