Katarina's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Katarina is a stunningly beautiful, high energy, young girl, we are guessing around two years old. She came from Placer County Paws just days before she gave birth to seven fluffy adorable puppies (also available). She raised them in a safe and loving foster home and now she's ready for a loving home of her own! She is crate trained and potty trained and LOVES attention. She can sometimes be shy with new people but warms up quickly and then won't leave your side! She is fostered with dogs of all sizes and does well with dogs (she wants to play!!) but she can be a little too hyper and mouthy for some dogs. She would do best in a home where she can get plenty of exercise and plenty of love. She has not been cat tested but *may* be okay with dog savvy cats. Because she is high energy and still working on her manners, she won't be considered for homes with toddlers. She has been around children ages 5 and up, however, and was great. smile emoticon

Katarina is spayed, up to date on shots, and available NOW! This beautiful girl will go very quickly so get that application in!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katarina, a Sacramento Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
