Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, folks. Little Penelope here. I’ve had a run of things in my short lifespan, but I have never let them get me down … at all. I was saved from a kill shelter in mid-2015 and had a fractured pelvis. I healed with some crate rest, but when I went to be spayed, doc said I did not have a “happy tail” and, well, it had to go altogether. I was sad, but I still “wag.”
That’s ancient history now, though. I have healed up very nicely, I am now in foster care, and I am going to make someone the best little dog ever! You would never know anything was ever wrong with me, especially when you see me run and play. Lookout! I do have a lot of energy and can be quite “wiggly,” so I’ll need a little guidance and focus. I also love to chew, so be sure to have lots of toys on hand. But, hey, if you’re looking for a “puppy” who likes to play, I’m your girl!
I’m a little bit of everything — Terrier? Chi? Maybe. Adorable? Absolutely! I’m about a year old, around 12-13 lbs. and covered in scruffy cuteness. I get along just fine with other dogs (best with submissive ones) and like all people, big and small. I can be a little “mouthy” when I play, though, so your little ones would need to know how to handle me and redirect some of that unintentional energy. And … oh, yeah … I even get along with cats!
