Bella's Story...
Hullo - my name is Bella. I'm a very sweet, timid little chihuahua girl. I am 8 years old and 6lbs of sweetness looking for a new home.

I want to be sure you're aware, just because I am 8 years old does not make me an old dog. I still have a number of years ahead of me, and with a recent dental work and hernia surgery completed, my health is vastly improved! I am very clever, thriving with house routines and rules. I'm also very food motivated and may even train you to give me treats from time to time. I enjoy meeting small dogs at the dog park, but get nervous with big dogs and strangers. I am VERY scared around fast moving little children, but if you've got kids over 10 years old, I'll probably do okay. I like trying to play with the other dogs, but I don't do it properly because they look at me funnily. Oh well - as long as they're having fun, so am I!

I am spayed, current on my shots, with sparkling white teeth and been cleared by the vet as a healthy sweet girl. My adoption fees are $280 and I'd love to learn more about you. Please email and set up a telephone interview with CaliCan Rescue about me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Edmonton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
