Adorable Sawyer's Story...
~ This little guy is looking for his forever home. He was pulled from a high kill animal control and is now in a foster home in Waxhaw, NC. The shelter workers were thrilled when Sawyer was pulled because he was a favorite there and they all wanted to see him go on to a better life. He is approx. 6 months old, neutered, combo tested negative, up-to-date on shots soon. He should warm up fine to other cats if introduced correctly, and gets along with dogs, but we would prefer a home with no small children. His foster mom says he is playful and fun, but also likes to cuddle, and he uses the litter box like a champ!! You know the holidays are just around the corner and wouldn't it be PURRFECT if Sawyer had his very own home/family to celebrate with?!? Application and adoption fee apply. Thanks!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adorable Sawyer, a Monroe Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
