Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Boomer! He's a 7.5 yr old Australian Cattle Dog with papers. He loves to play, get belly rubs and watch TV. But if there is ANY animal on TV, he talks to them very loudly. We're currently working on that.
He was with his human mom and dad his entire life. His dad passed away a few years ago and then his mom just a short week or so ago. They took great care of him and socialized him well. He walks PERFECTLY on a leash. A little tug will get him in step with you. He behaves well in public and doesn't react to any loud noises or surprises. I took him to PetCo and he was a perfect gentleman. And on walks, he doesn't react to other dogs barking behind gates or walking on the street.
Being a working dog, he does need a lot of mental stimulation, more so than even physical. So a home where he won't be left home for long hours would be ideal, but even if he is occasionally, as long as his mind is stimulated, he should be ok. A daily walk is a must though, but nothing crazy.
Not sure how he is with kids, but he can tend to get worked up easily when playing so in my opinion, young kids would not be great. He did not grow up with any to my knowledge.
He just loves to be loved and attention. If you would like to meet Boomer, please contact his foster mom, Sarah at 702-232-8852. There is an adoption fee.
