Mika's Story...
Mika is a love! She is a sweet submissive girl that you just want to hug and squeeze. A little bit silly and a little bit shy, Mike was a sweetheart during her photo shoot and the student volunteers had a great time with her. She posed nicely for photos but when we got ready to take her back to the kennel she had other ideas. She just laid down right on the spot and decided she liked it better there, sprawled out in the oasis, instead of in her noisy kennel. Mika should be a great family dog. She is sharing her kennel with sweet Eric. 1-2 years, 40 lbs,

Act quickly to adopt Mika. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mika, a Darlington Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
