My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a special advanced notice on a very cute litter we have in. They are only six weeks old at this time, having been here with us since the age of two weeks, alongside their mom, Abi. This litter hails all the way from New Mexico!

We are providing this opportunity so that you may get your applications in early. Southpaws Express holds litters together to the age of ten to eleven weeks for optimum inter-litter socialization, which truly is some of the best socialization a litter can receive. They will be ready to meet and reserve in two weeks, and ready to go to their new homes in approximately four. Now is the time for you to get your applications in and secure your chance. It is rare in rescue to have a chance at puppies with a known mom. These puppies have grown up in a home, are used to all the sights and sounds, unrelated adults, and have been regularly handled by a five year old girl :)

There are six puppies who are actively available. All are white with markings, mostly brown with the one black you see as well. Most look as if they will have coat of some kind. Their mom ("Abi," whose listing is up for your viewing pleasure as well), is principally a Collie. She looks to have some German Shepherd in her as well, and the puppies (some of which have one blue eye at this time) show markings indicative of Australian Cattle Dog or Australian Shepherd. We are anticipating a larger medium, size wise.

This litter had its bumps, resulting in the sad death of one littermate and another sister who is special needs and not available at this time. These remaining six have turned quite a corner in the past week and are not symptomatic. We and our vet are very pleased with where they are. We can detail things for you further with your inquiry, but these little ones are in very fine shape indeed. The tentative diagnosis on the two less fortunate puppies is a parasitic infection, neosporosis.

They are very friendly, extremely used to being handled, and are just a joy to be around!

Applications are available via our southpawsexpress.org website, or by contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com
