My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lucy (HWTH#15369A). She is a Pug mix, DOB: 5/14/14. Lucy weighs approximately 8 pounds and stands 13 inches at the shoulders. She was rescued from the desert of the Antelope Valley in California along with 2 other companion dogs (one of which is Snoopy, her son) by a friend of Halfway to Home. She has now been relinquished to Halfway to Home so Lucy can find the Forever home she deserves. This little girl is shy when first meeting new people and is a little fearful about being handled by strangers (she needs to be approached slowly and handled gently). Once Lucy is acquainted with you, she is loving and loves having her belly and chest rubbed. She also likes being held and feels safe in your arms. Lucy will need an owner willing to give her time to adjust slowly to her new environment. Love and structure will go a long way in helping her build trust. It is unknown how she is with children but older kids taught to be gentle with her would probably be ok. Once Lucy has bonded with her new owner, she will be a most loving and grateful canine companion. Lucy is probably good with other dogs and she is crate trained. For more information on Lucy, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
