My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is George. I am a young 7 to 8 year old beagle boy looking for a home. When I first came to my foster home I knew very little about being a house pet. I was found wondering the country roads of a very rural, small town in southern Indiana. But boy do I love living inside! I am a happy boy and my tail never stops wagging. My foster mom works with me each day and I can now sit for a treat and walk nicely on a leash. I love taking walks each day and my tail wags so hard when she gets the leash out that my whole butt wiggles. Foster mommy laughs at me. I can walk a couple miles at a time with no problem.
I am doing better each day on house training and I almost have it down pat. I haven’t had an accident in a long time. I have mastered the doggie door and come and go as I please. I’ve just started to learn how to play with toys. I think they are really fun. I enjoy sniffing and walking around in her fenced yard. I get along great with the other beagles in the home but I do not really play with them. We do hang out and sleep together on the couch at night. After a fun day I want to lie by her side, get petted, and get my belly rubbed. I don’t need to be crated at night or in the day time while foster mom is at work because I am such a good boy. I don’t chew up things and I don’t dig holes.
I’m a very loving and social boy and love everyone I meet. I enjoy car rides and just snuggle and sleep. Foster mom hasn’t heard me bark much. I have been introduced to both cats and kids and I think they are both fine by me.
I am a very healthy boy and small weighing in at only 18 lbs. Foster mom likes to pick me up because I am so small. I let her and she will lie my on my back and pet my belly. I went to the vet to have my teeth cleaned but they were so bad I had to have most of them pulled. But that doesn’t slow me down as I can still eat dry kibble. I love food… after all I am a beagle.
