Hamburglar(Hammy)'s Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hamburglar(Hammy)'s Story...
Hammy entered the B.A.R.C. program after being seized by animal control in a cruelty/neglect case. Hammy is a 3 yr old neutered male who has a severe case of demodectic mange. Hammy is progressing very well. He is heartworm negative, gets along great with other dogs and seems curious, but mostly indifferent, about cats (he sniffs and is easily distracted). Hammy is a candidate for our foster-to-adopt program. He is currently being fostered by Eric and Gretchen in Jacksonville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hamburglar(Hammy), a Jacksonville Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
