My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hershey is a gorgeous tux with silky fur and a long, flirty tail! She is playful and adventurous, and super, super loving. She often takes breaks from her play to jump on your lap and say hi. She happily sleeps nestled against you, whether on your chest, in the crook of your arm, or between your feet. Hershey has lots of personality. She’s pretty fearless and kind of a tomboy. If she wants attention, she’ll stand up and grab your leg. She likes to carry toys around and may even gift you with them. She loves other cats and is persistent in making friends with them. She doesn’t mind her canine foster sisters and would probably be fine with a dog. Overall, she is a cheerful, happy spirit with lots of confidence and love!

From Hershey: “My foster mom says my family is looking for me. Is that you? I sure would like to have a family of my own to love. I have so much love and joy to give – you NEED me! Maybe you can adopt me with my sister Lolly! She’s lots of fun too!”

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Hershey really needs a playmate in her forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our Pick A Pair page to see if her sibling is still available. If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…she already proved he is great at making friends!

You can meet Hershey at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Hershey’s ACTUAL date of birth is 6/20/15. Her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.
