My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am one of the “candy kittens”, born in an animal shelter in southern Illinois, along with my siblings. I’m a playa! I’m all about running and pouncing and wrestling and playing. If there is trouble around, usually I’m part of it. Not too much trouble! Just enough to entertain my people. I like to stick my paws under a door and play with whoever’s on the other side. I love to chase after a cat-dancer or other toy, and you should see how high I can jump! As soon as you scoop me up, I start purring, even if I still want to play. You can turn me on my back and rub my belly, and I just relax. When I’m sleepy, I like to just curl up with you. I’m a very loving kitty wrapped up in tons of kitten energy!

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Skittles really needs a playmate in her forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. If there is already another playful cat or kitten in your house, that would work out too…she already proved she is great at making friends!

Skittles’ ACTUAL date of birth is 6/20/15. Her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.
