Newt's Story...
Newt, a.k.a. Newtle, is a very special little girl with tons of personality! With all the playfulness you would expect from a kitten, she is also a snuggle bug who loves attention from people. She will let you know with a sweet little mew that she would like to be cuddled now. Newt is a brave, fearless, little girl who gets along great with everyone, mostly. Since her brother and sister have already found their FORever homes, she has made fast friends with the newest kitten in the house and would love to go home with her buddy, Roland, when he's ready. Newt has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, given up to date vaccinations and has been examined by a vet. For more info, send an email to info@forrescue.net. You may also fill out a non-binding cat application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newt, a Chattanooga Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
