My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pugsley, an 18-pound purebred senior pug, is back at SNORT and wishing for a brighter tomorrow. Pugsley initially entered SNORT rescue as a true orphan in 2013 when he was found wandering the streets. He was adopted into a loving home, however due to a change in his owner's work schedule, he was home alone for long periods. His owners decided to return him to SNORT in hopes of finding an individual or family who would better meet his needs. Right now Pugsley lives in NYC with his foster parents and their pug.

As an 11 year old senior, Pugsley is the definition of a companion dog; his favorite activities are being scratched under the chin followed by cuddling and napping. Pugsley is well behaved on a leash, but can get a little shaky on his feet after a while, so short walks or a fenced yard would be best for potty time. He acclimated to living in NYC perfectly and has learned to use piddle pads when going outside is not an option.

He gets along well with the resident pug but is shy when new dogs greet him on the street. We think Pugsley would be a great companion to a single person who is home enough to give him the companionship he needs. He would also enjoy living with a couple or a family, as long as the children can respect his age and interact with him gently.

Medically speaking, Pugsley has overcome the odds with his medical rehabilitation since being found on the streets in 2013 and now takes 1-2 pills daily on top of his dinner along with a daily mouth cleaning.

Sweet Pugsley is simply looking for a loving, stable home in which to spend his golden years and a warm lap to gently lay his head on.

Please consider changing this former orphan's life and becoming his new best friend! Submit a SNORT adoption application & find out more about sweet Puggie man.
