My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB August 17, 2009

Dalia is such a little cutie. She is a petite little thing who has beautiful green eyes. She has four (almost) identical little white socks that cover her toes. Her white patch on her chest is also a little curly which is adorable!

Dalia likes to trot around the house checking on her foster cat brothers, the humans and making sure that no one is in her bed. When getting a good pet, Dalia gets excited and dances around by lifting her front paws really high while taking several steps all around. She looks like she is dancing! Sometimes she even jumps up on her hind legs to try to get more pressure on her head from the petting. It is so cute! Currently, she likes to be pet on the top of her head and under her chin, but no where else. She might let out a little growl if you enter the "no touch zone".

Dalia came in as a stray and has not had much human interaction. She has learned so much about humans in her foster family, especially that humans give awesome petting sessions and treats! Dalia loves her daily treats! Dalia is unsure about sitting with you on the couch or bed, but she always has to be in the same room observing what you do - wherever you go, she goes.

Dalia is very curious about humans and is trying to learn how to trust them - she just needs time to learn and understand more about humans. When approaching Dalia in a confined area and she is unsure of what is happening, if you reach for her she will likely swat at you and will nip if she feels threatened. With proper coaching and trust, this will go away. At this time we would say that Dalia would not do well in a home with children. Although she is good with her foster brothers she is a little territorial and will hiss at her brothers if they get too close, but nothing more.

This little beauty has come a long way since she first arrived at her foster home. She has proven to be very loyal and will make someone very happy! Dalia is now ready for her forever home, one with lots of patience, attention and affection... will you welcome her into your home?
