Here's what the humans have to say about me:
~ ADOPTION PENDING ~
You may meet and apply to adopt Serena at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
Serena is a female German Shepherd mix approximately 4 years old. She is a big girl, weighing in at 75 pounds full grown. Serena has a beautiful, longer coat that is thick and healthy. She is a very sweet dog, gentle and kind. Serena is easy to manage inside the house and is housebroken. She is content to hang out with her people and is more of a couch potato. She does like her walks and gets very happy and animated when the leash comes out. Serena is super smart and picks up on the slightest thing with ease. She is a homebody and can be relied upon to stick with you even off leash. Serena is safe with children and is very tolerant of much loving and hugging. She thrives on being included in the family and wants to be where the people are. She can sit for hours while you stroke her head. She is a snuggler and will make a wonderful, cozy companion. Serena is good with dogs of all sizes and is good with cats, however, she is not interested in playing and will simply observe doggie play without joining in. Serena simply wants to be where the people are and is not a fan of crates or baby gates. She likes dog beds, soft blankets, or perhaps even smack dab in the middle of your bed! At some point in her life Serena injured a back leg, probably years ago, and suffered some minor nerve damage. She now walks with a limp. We have taken her to our regular vet and an orthopedic specialist vet who both tell us there is nothing to be done and she’s not in any pain. Serena loves to go for walks and can still romp around. She is a quieter dog who loves to be with her people. Once she gets attached, she won't leave your side. She is very loving. Serena was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She is ready for her new forever home today!
Serena’s adoption donation is $350 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Serena is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Pam and Allen and is ready for her forever home.
You may meet and apply to adopt Serena at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JANUARY 10th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH located at 1280 Bison Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
