Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bang! Pow! Zap! and...Kaboom! Meet our very own comic book super hero, Kaboom! At one and a half years old, our smiley Pitbull boy has already been through so much but in true super hero style he has flourished in spite of his tough beginning. According to witnesses, this sweet guy was tied up on a back porch for almost 10 months, going without food or water for multiple days at a time, living without shelter and sitting in his own urine and feces. Thankfully, Animal Control saved Kaboom and despite him being taken to a high kill shelter, Kaboom was given the chance to shine when he passed his temperament test with flying colors and became part of the shelter's Safe Humane Court Case program. This amazing organization works with cruelty case dogs and places them into classes that inspire relationships between people and companion animals. Volunteers along with dogs like Kaboom aim to make communities safer through education on the humane treatment of animals, which is believed to directly translate into the humane treatment of children. Whether in manners class or working with war veterans in the VALOR program, Kaboom stole everyone's hearts with his laid back, goofy personality. While he mastered sit, his most impressive trick was sitting on someone's foot and leaning in for some good loving! In fact, that is how he won us over and after more than 3 months in the shelter, we decided he was meant to be a Ruff Start Pitbull. Now living a great life in foster, 'Boom is always up for a good wrestle session with his Pitbull foster sister or swimming at the beach but is also completely content to curl up and cuddle whenever he has the chance. At approximately 65lbs. this happy go lucky oaf is a strong boy who is looking for a family to continue working with him on basic obedience. Kaboom loves other dogs (bigs and littles) and would be fine with a dog savvy cat. He is also housebroken and crate trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
