Louise's Info...

Louise's Story...
Louise here…you know, of Thelma and Louise…can you believe the loyalty?! Have you ever heard of a more devoted friendship? Me and Thelma driving right into the Grand Canyon, hand in hand in a convertible! Well, much to everyone’s surprise we landed in a poplar tree, made it out unscathed, and I’ve been on the lam ever since. I’m ready to live a straight life as a dog from here on out.... Maybe you can help me out? I’m a sweet and social gal…great with other dogs and respectful children, too. Just no cats for me, unless they’re looking for a high-speed chase! I’m playful, eager to please, oh-so-smart, and just like my gal pal Thelma, I’d love to find a forever family! 2 years old-65lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louise, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
