Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**This is a courtesy listing for an individual trying to rehome their dog.**
From Averie's foster mom:
Averie is sweet, beautiful, energetic spayed female, 2-3 years old. She loves people and comfy furniture but most of all she loves being outside in a large secure yard where she can chase and catch tennis balls, run, play and just hangout. She has the eyes and hands (I mean mouth ?) of a pro wide receiver. It’s amazing to watch her jump for the ball!
Inside the house, Averie loves to nap, cuddle and play with her toys. She is house trained and chews only her toys. She’s a smart motivated girl who knows how to sit, lay down, shake and stay. She’s in training to learn even more and to help her get comfortable on-leash when she’s around other dogs. She needs an owner who is committed to help her continue to work through leash reactivity. She is reported to do well with other dogs when off-leash but we think her preference is not to share her home with other dogs and not be forced to interact with other dogs too often. That said, she does seem to enjoy company so may be okay having a calm medium sized dog as a buddy. We would need to do a dog test to confirm everyone will get along. She would love a home with tolerant cats who would like to play with her, but otherwise she should not go to a home with cats. She is tall and strong so may be a bit too much happy dog for small children. She is the perfect dog for an experienced dog owner looking for a loving playmate. Sadly, her current yard is not adequate for her and she’s stuck inside while we’re at work. Even so, she is still full of love and fun, but because she’s missing being outside so much, we want to find her a home with a large secure outside space where she can enjoy life inside and out.
Averie weighs 65 lbs and is 26.5 inches at the shoulder.
