My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston is an absolute charmer. He is a very affectionate and loving cat; he can't get enough attention! In fact, he is a bit like a dog that will follow you everywhere, like Velcro, and will get upset if he's left in another room. He's energetic and playful, and oh so chatty. He loves to tell you about his day as he follows you around but he also loves to talk to the birds outside the window.

This is a kitty that needs to be kept busy. He loves to play and rip around the house to burn energy. He also really loves to scratch on his post and will investigate any nook or cranny. He's incredibly curious and brave. Since Winston gets so attached to his humans he will be happiest in a family where someone is home most of the time to hang out with him. He is a medium haired cat and has a full, furry tail but he loves to be brushed because he thinks he's just being pat more :) He'll make a great companion for someone who wants to add some cuddles to their life.

Although Winston is a pretty cool cat, he is surprisingly affected by stress. Although he's only 1 year old, he's had a fair bit of stress in his life thus far, bouncing around between various houses with his owner. When he gets stressed he gets urinary infections so it will be important for Winston to be in a fairly relaxed household. He is currently on a food designed to protect his urinary tract from the changes that happen when he's hit by stress and he's doing very well on it. We suspect he'll have a great future with a new family as long as they're dedicated to keeping him happy & healthy.

Winston has successfully lived in homes with other animals and he seems to really like other cats. During his time with us he's been very chatty with the other cats and seems to get lonely when he's home alone. He will do best with a family that has other pets that can help to keep him company, or where someone is home for most of the day to visit with him. Winston definitely gets lonely when left alone for long periods and does get quite vocal.
