My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi: I'm Lady and I just had my first birthday. I have long soft black hair with cute little tan spots over my eyes. I've been spayed and I weigh about 15 pounds. Foster mom thinks my weight is just about right.
I love people and my tail is always wagging. I like to cuddle and sleep in the big bed but I will use my crate with the door open for a daytime nap. Foster mom puts me in the crate when she goes out. I don't really like it that much but I don't cry when she leaves me. I'm really excited when she comes home so I bark and jump up and down so an apartment may not be the best place for me. Foster mom calls me her shadow since I follow her around wherever she goes. I use doggie stairs to get up on things.

I'm learning to do my business outside but I'll use a puppy pad inside if you leave me one.

I'm living with foster mom's canine friend, another foster dachshund, and five (yes five) cats. I'm okay with the cats as long as they don't run and then I want to chase them. The cats have tried to head butt me  and I'm not sure what that is about. I love to play with foster mom's other foster dachshund so I would like another playful doggie in my furever home. I walk okay on a leash but foster mom thinks I need to learn to do it better. I will sit for a treat and come when called.

I love to explore outside so a home with a fenced yard would be best. I  love to roll in the grass and run through tall grass. I like stuffies but I don't destroy them as soon as you give them to me. I've tried out the creek at the dog park and it was okay.

I'm so looking forward to a furever home of my own!
