Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Duke! This handsome man has a wiggly butt and wagging tail that never stops moving. Duke was found roaming the streets all by himself when he was brought to the shelter. Despite the many indicators that this big guy had a loving home at some point (the fact that he was neutered, all his previous training, etc.), no one ever came to claim him as their own. Duke doesn't let this get him down, though! This guy loves just about anyone he meets and now that he is in a foster home, he is happier than ever. Duke loves to play with other dogs and cuddle with his foster family. Given the training he had prior to going to the shelter and a little help from his foster mom, getting the hang of house manners was a breeze! Duke is already kennel-, house-, and leash-trained and even knows some basic commands. He is also sure to keep you laughing; when this guy gets excited enough, his tail will wag so hard and he will be so wiggly that he hits himself in the face with it!
At around 2 years old, this gentle giant weighs in over 75lbs. Duke would make an ideal playmate for another pup (he gets lonely without another dog around!), but, of course, also needs a human lap for his lounging needs. With his training and easy-going personality Duke would be great for a family with older kids that could not be knocked over by that hazardously wagging tail! All this guy really needs is a loving family to call his own. Won't you be that family?
All Dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
Duke is currently in foster care so, if interested, please email us today!
