Bonnie's Story...
Bonnie was brought into the shelter as a stray with what they thought was her brother – Barry. I visited with Bonnie on Saturday at the shelter. It’s very obvious in the pictures that this girl is VERY gentle and loving. And….VERY SAD to be at the shelter!! I believe her brother Barry must have been adopted, I didn’t see him at the shelter. Bonnie though would make the most wonderful pet!! She truly enjoyed the love we gave her and just gave us her sad eyes….I believe she was telling us her story through them which must be a very sad one. This sweet girl deserves a GREAT life in a home with lots of love to give. Can you help her find that??? I think she has had enough of the sad, lonely life…now is her time to find true love!

PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER ASAP TO SAVE BONNIE!! 502-633-0009

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Shelbyville Dutch Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
