Facts about Clayton

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Clayton first came to us as a scared, feral kitten. In time, he became tame and very affectionate and social. He was adopted but it turned out not to be a good match. He's back with us now and is just a total love. He is super soft and loves to play with his Cat Dancer toy. He's sweet and unassuming, a wonderful companion for humans and cats alike.

Clayton is two years old. His ideal human lives in a quiet home and is there for him a lot. His ideal human also already has a friendly cat, he really loves other cats and is happiest when he has a companion. If you think you can make Clay a happy cat, let us know!

About Bushwick Street Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

We're primarily a TNR volunteer group, we trap, neuter and return feral cats in the community. We often find tame cats or young kittens during these projects and these cats make up the bulk of our adoptable cats here.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We regularly participate in adoption events with North Brooklyn Cats, a rescue group based in Williamsburg/Greenpoint. Their adoption events are every Sunday from 2-6 PM at Muddy Paws Pet Supplies, 447 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211. We also have potential adopters visit our fosters at our home by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters meet with us and the cat(s) either at our home or an adoption event. Potential adopters complete a simple adoption application, which we review and approve. If all parties are in agreement on the adoption we set a time to deliver the cat(s) to the adopter's home. Upon receiving the cat(s), adopters are asked to sign an adoption contract and for a tax-deductible donation fee of $100 per cat. Adopters are emailed all vet records and related forms.
