Hey Everyone! He’s 70lbs of goofball and sweet pea all rolled into one big RIO GRAND!

Rio is a great boy who wants to please and be by your side whether you are inside or outside. He’s about 7 years old and fully vetted. Rio’s energy level would make him a good hiking or running partner and he is GREAT on a leash, but he also loves to veg out in a sunny spot and snore for hours if you are too busy to play. House trained, crate trained, car trained, very social with other dogs if they want to be social with him, especially little ones. He would make a great big brother or occasional baby sitter for another dog.

Contact info@eastcan.org if you’d like to meet Rio.

About East C.A.N. (Community Action Network)

About Our Rescue Group...

East Nashville has always had an over abundance of animals roaming our streets. In an attempt to help the animals with as much speed and efficiency as possible a neighborhood effort was organized. Our mission is to make a positive and immediate difference for animals and people in East Nashville by facilitating neighbors helping neighbors.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have fund raisers and adoption events through out the year, typically in spring, summer and fall. Signing up on our mailing list (via our website) will get you invites to all of our events.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a required application on our website that includes personal and vet references. We do pre-adoption home visits and periodic follow up visits post adoption. There is a $120 rehoming fee for each animal if they are microchipped or $100 if they are not.
