Dudley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dudley's Story...
Do the right thing and adopt Dudley! He's a super affectionate 2 year old Hound mix. Dudley was rescued from another over-crowded shelter so his history is not known. He was found to be heartworm positive when he arrived and went directly to a foster home while he was being treated. Dudley is now healthy and back at the shelter. His foster family said he was the perfect guest...was house trained and got along great with the foster family's dog. Dudley doesn't want his stay at the shelter to be very long. He's hoping someone adopts him today.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dudley, a Elyria Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
