Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Jazz and I am an 8 year old neutered male Havanese who came to NBS Animal Rescue when my mom was unable to care for me any longer. She wanted what was best for me and so she contacted the nice people at NBS Animal Rescue to help me find a new home.
I'm a super sweet and gentle fella - a true gentleman if you will. I know how to do my personal business outside, am trustworthy in the house when you are gone, and I love to snuggle with people I trust. I'm an excellent walking partner as I am very well behaved on a leash - I like to prance on my walks! I enjoy snoozing on my doggy bed or sitting on your lap during the day, and enjoy a good sniff in a fenced yard or on daily walks. I am good with other dogs, but to be honest, those doggy friends that are bigger than me, full of energy, or want to play with me constantly make me a bit nervous - I really just want a loving home to relax in. Children are wonderful, and I've met lots who are really kind and gentle with me - however - I really would prefer kids to be over the age of 14 with dog experience as their quick movements and loud noises overwhelm me and I have to find a place to hide.
I'm looking for a loving companion who will share some naps in the sunshine on the back deck, a daily walk to smell the flowers with someone, a kind person to pet my ears gently, and someone who will love me as much as I promise to love them.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?
These are the things I fur-sure need in my fur-ever home!
- Family who is gone no longer than 5 hour periods.
- Children over 14 years of age.
- Calm home environment preferred.
If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $150.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
