My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carrick is a small, black, 9-week old puppy who was found living in a cozy area under a trailer in Missouri along with his brothers and sisters. The owner of the trailer called an animal rescue group when the puppies’ mom left, and here they are with Adopt A Pet! Since we know nothing about these pups’ mom or dad, we can only guess what breed Carrick is. Our best guess is a collie/lab mix, but only those willing to take pot luck in terms of what breed and size he will turn out to be should apply!

Small and shy, this puppy is full of love and needs cuddling!

Because he is so young, Carrick needs a home where someone is home part or all day to get him potty trained and keep him socialized. He will be ready for puppy school in a few weeks; that is another requirement for adoption.

You can meet Carrick at his foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road in Wilmette, during normal business hours (847-251-6750). Although he is so cute you will want to take him home on the spot, please note you will have to go through the application process first.

Carrick’s adoption fee is $375, which includes a vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, and neuter.
