My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is sweet Dixie who arrived to our local animal control and was petrified in the shelter environment so we took her into foster care to learn more about her. She was surrendered as her previous owners stated that she was nipping their grandchildren. What we have learned from Dixie is that she was lacking socialization and basic training. This girl didn't even know how to walk on a leash. After being in foster care for a couple weeks she has made a tremendous improvement!

Dixie just wants love and guidance. She is now walking on a leash with a harness and doing fabulous! Dixie would love to have a canine play mate as she plays with her foster sisters and enjoys their companionship, in fact she would do best with another dog. We are recommending children over 10 years old and she seems to be fine with cats as she does not react to them. Dixie is house and crate trained but loves her humans so someone who is home versus being alone for long hours. She is approximately 1 1/2 years old, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, micro chipped, and spayed.
