My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cricket was adopted from this rescue when she was 12 weeks old when we took in her mother who was expecting and in a kill shelter. Cricket's family had her for almost three years but her pack is getting divorced, so they returned her. Everyone loved her especially the kids. She needs a forever home this time and is ready for one since she is missing a real family setting. She is super sweet with people but is not sure what has happened so she might be a little shy at first. However, when she warms up in a few minutes she would love to be petted and give kisses all day.

She loves to retrieve balls and will jump in the air to catch them! Cricket prefers people to dogs. She did not have much interaction with other dogs so she is learning doggie manners. She likes almost all the dogs in her rescue family but would prefer not to have to have new friends coming and going all the time but rather a stable, loving family. She still gets excited and will jump up on you but we are working on this. Cricket is a smart girl and corrects easily. she knows when she has done something her foster mom did not like ( like jumping up on people or standing on her back legs waving her front paws in the air saying look at me ! )

Name: Cricket
Age: Approx. DOB: Feb 10, 2012, 3.5 yrs old as of Nov 2015
Gender: Female
Mix/Purebred: Mix
Housetrained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes, but does not like the crate currently would rather be with people
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Negative
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Micro chipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes, timid or scared and likes attention for herself
Good with cats: Not tested with cats but has a lot of energy to chase a ball so probably not good with things that run away - like a ball does
Good with children: Yes

She is on the thin side (51 lbs.) but eats well when she wants to. Shepherds should be kept thin rather than fat in order to keep weight off their joints - she is just fine in that area. She loves to be active so she would like someone to take walks with, throw the ball to her and show her the love she deserves. Both ears stand up when something has her attention but they are super cute whatever way they decide to go!

She is ready for her forever family and if you think you might be the right fit please apply and come and out and meet this beautiful girl.
