Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY LISTING - This dog is not in foster care with BAPBR and we make no guarantees about his/her health or temperament. We are providing a service to the Del Norte County Animal Shelter to help with adoption. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact the shelter directly - their info is below.
Meet the fashion-forward Chanel! This sweetheart is a 4 year-old English bulldog. However, don’t mistake her for a sissy, this girl is STRONG! She has busted through chain-linked kennel doors at the shelter in the past! She is not one to mess with when it comes to muscle power, but underneath it all, she’s a total sweetie with a huge capacity to love.
Unfortunately, Chanel’s only hang-up is that she suffers from cherry eye and is vision impaired. Cherry eye refers to when pink mass protrudes from a dog’s eyelid. It can be caused by weaknesses of the glands in the dog’s eye, resulting in slight discomfort and irritation. According to Pet MD, this is a medical condition that most often occurs in Bulldogs. Miss Chanel would need to undergo surgery for her cherry eye.
Chanel would like her future family to know that she does not like other dogs, cats, or smaller animals. She loves to be in the center of attention! Chanel loves to play fetch and keep away, shows no signs of food aggression, and is housetrained! Overall, she’s a low-maintenance dog, but does enjoy getting out for a stroll around the neighborhood.
Chanel hopes that you aren’t discouraged in regards to her eye problems, as she has so much more to offer! Please consider making Chanel apart of your family; she promises to smother you in kisses every day to show her gratitude.
Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want you to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Address: 2650 Washington Blvd - Crescent City, CA 95531
