Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY LISTING - This dog is not in foster care with BAPBR and we make no guarantees about his/her health or temperament. We are providing a service to the Del Norte County Animal Shelter to help with adoption. If you are interested in adopting this dog please contact the shelter directly - their info is below.
If you’re up for hours of playing fetch and ball games, Custer is your dude! Custer is a sweet 1-year old Jack Russell mix looking for a home through Del Norte County Animal Shelter. He has a lot of spunk and energy to offer and would love to be your new best friend!
Custer came to the shelter with his brother Blaine. From the moment he stepped foot in the shelter, volunteers knew that they would have their hands full (in a good way!) with this little ball of energy! You see, Custer is an escape artist; he can climb a 5 foot chain-link fence and likes to chew his way out of kennels if left in there for too long. But don’t think of this as a negative attribute! Custer just likes to play! He is super ball-obsessed and could spend hours just running back and forth fetching his favorite toy.
Custer’s playful demeanor isn’t the only thing he has to offer; he’s super smart too! Custer knows how to sit and shake and would make the perfect candidate for further training. Because nothing seems to slow Custer down, it might be easy to overlook that fact that he’s slightly hearing-impaired. However, this minor issue doesn’t seem to be something that will affect Custer or his future family much at all.
Custer is one sweet guy and can’t wait to share his spunky and fun attitude with his new family. Please consider adopting Custer and making him apart of your family! He promises that you won’t live to regret it!
Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful volunteers at the Del Norte County Animal Control Shelter located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a small coastal town on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t always come outside to play -- so we want you to see some of their really great dogs that they have up for adoption -- it's only a short 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new family member!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Address: 2650 Washington Blvd - Crescent City, CA 95531
