Emilie's Story...
Hi there! My name is Emilie. I am a very pretty girl Torbie. That means I have lots of swirls of color and I look sort of like a tabby and sort of like a torti so I am a Torbie! My pictures don’t show my darker colors very well mixed in with the lighter swirls. I was born about 6/10/15 in a cat colony. Another rescue trapped me and then called my foster mom who took me to her house. I live with lots of other kittens and 2 big dogs and I get along with all of them.

I LOVE to play with a cat teaser! When my foster mom gets one and starts dragging it across the floor or waving it in the air I get really excited! I am the first kitten to start to play. I am also the first kitten when my foster mom opens a can of wet food! I love wet food! I will be eating and my foster mom will sit and pet me and that makes me very happy! It’s the best of both worlds!

As soon as I see my foster mom I go up to her and raise my head for her to pet me. Then I start to purr! When she picks me up and puts me in her lap I totally relax and purr away!

Emilie is spayed, litterbox trained, has received age-appropriate vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emilie, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
