Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sherman is a sweet, playful and loving, six-year-old, 11-pound, male Bichon Frise looking for a loving guardian.
Sherman loves people and other dogs of all shapes, ages and sizes. He is a little too interested in cats and other small pets. While he doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, he does like to chase rabbits and cats and bark at them.
Sherman is wonderful on leashed walks. He sometimes does handstands and cartwheels when he pees which always makes me giggle.
Sherman enjoys sleeping in bed with his foster family. He is not a bed hog; he tends to stay close to your feet or snuggle up if you let him. He bonds very closely with his people and follows his foster mom from room to room.
Sherman was found stray in Chicago. He had no collar, no tags, no micro-chip, wasn’t neutered and was badly in need of a dental. It’s a mystery as to where he came from.
He will do best without small children in the home and because he has a high-pitched bark, he is not ideal for apartments or condos.
He has now been fully-vetted and professionally groomed. He is extremely healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested fecal-tested, had bloodwork checked, and had a dental with three teeth extracted.
He is perfectly crate-trained and is doing well with his housebreaking!
To meet and possibly adopt Sherman, please contact Sheri at Sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. His adoption fee of $325 benefits rescued pets.
