Zoila is a beyond spectacular girl. She came into Downey Shelter as a stray full on pregnant. Within 24 hrs we arranged to get her out and get her in foster. By the time the foster arrived, she gave birth to 2...6 more came. Zoila was in tough shape at the shelter. She was a wonderful mom. Once her puppies were weaned, it was time to take care of her issues. Like many Shar Peis she did suffer from entropian (a condition where the eyelashes go inward and scrap the eyes). Her eyes have been fixed, her eye infections healed, her fur has grown back, her dew claws are removed and she is on top of her game. Zoila loves other dogs, is extremely playful, and loves humans. She is only 2 years old and weighs 38 pounds. This is a lot of spectacular dog in a small package.
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian a lifetime membership to www.mypettrainer.com, and www.lostmypet.com. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. Bark n' Bitches asks for your support by taking advantage of the generous 20% one time shopping discount once you adopt. An adoption fee, application, contract are required.
