James's Info...

James's Story...
Please excuse Dusty's eyes...he has severe dental issues and it is blocking his tear ducts. The night we picked up Dusty it was obvious he was near death. He went to the AMAZING folks at Catnip & Carrots Veterinary Hospital the next day for extensive dental work. The good news?? He is eating like a champ and has gained over 100 grams in a week and a half! Dusty is now paired with another dental chin- James. James was originally paired with another chin, but when James came down with severe dental disease he was introduced to another dental chin...Dusty. After 12 hours in a cage together they were attached at the hip! So now these two special needs boys are a bonded pair. They are up for adoption to the right person...a person who realizes they will NOT have the typical long life span, and also can afford a couple of dentals each year. This can be in the $200 range depending on your vet, but we will refer you to ours who know these boys and have successfully helped them in the past. James and Dusty are two of the most loving chins on the planet, and REALLY deserve a forever home for however long they have on this planet!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

James, a Lindenhurst Chinchilla was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinchilla for sale in Lindenhurst, or seeking a Chinchilla from a breeder in Lindenhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lindenhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lindenhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinchilla breeders who help with Chinchilla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lindenhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
