Heidi's Story...
This girl is a 6 yr old lovebug! Buff & White in coloring she's had a hard life. Picked up as a stray and left for dead at the shelter she comes to us with a smile on her face and a very loving heart. She is a sensitive dog and needs to be in an ADULT only household with no kids as she is a little shy with strangers and fast hands that come into play. Appears to have some abuse in her past - but she doesn't let that stop her. She warms up and becomes your lap dog. Loves car rides, walks, romps in the yard, an INDOOR dog, she will want to sleep in the house and be the household protector. She is considered an alpha female but does enjoy other K9 companionship. Totally housetrained and basic obience savy she will steal your heart! An adoption application is required - send email request to loripasch@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a Downey Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Downey, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Downey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Downey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Downey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Downey paves the way for another one to be saved.
