Sheldon's Story...

The Big Bang litter came to rescue from a wonderful community member who found the mother as a stray right before she was to give birth. She took care of mom, now known as Mrs Wolowitz in rescue, till the seven puppies were old enough to separate and then handed them to rescue to find good homes. Mom is a smaller bi-black Aussie, about 35 pounds, and dad we believe was a Cattle Dog type who decided not to pay child support...

Sheldon is one of the larger of the boys, and is easily distinguished by his speckled whites. Sheldon is a little shy at first but very sweet, friendly and lovable! He LOVES to follow his brother, Leonard, which has helped him gain more confidence. And what a cuddle bug!!! He does not potty in crate unless it absolutely can not wait.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheldon, a St. Louis Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
