Hello there! Yes you! My name is Effie, a cute black panther with a white patch of fur on my chest!

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was originally adopted from Tenth Life as a kitten. But through no fault of my own, I found my way back to Tenth Life after my original adopter could no longer care for me.

I am an affectionate and playful girl. I love to play with my fosters resident cat. We get along very well. I also like to play by myself with my toys. I love to play with catnip mice and my favorite toy is my turbo cat scratcher.

I especially enjoy looking out the window and watching the world go by. Sometimes I get lucky and see birds up close or the neighborhood feral cats my fosters care for.

I am very curious. Although I am affectionate and like to be petted, I don’t really like to be held. Given time and a little age I might decide I like to curl up on your lap.

Right now I find the world too interesting and enjoy playing and learning. However I do love a good nap! My favorite places for napping are on my cat tree or on my fosters bed.

I have not met a dog yet, but I might decide I like them if I am introduced properly.

Now that I have told you a little bit about myself, I would love to meet and get to know you!

About Tenth Life Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.

Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete a comprehensive application and interview, and will need to supply proper identification, as well as personal and veterinary references. Our adoption fee is $125 for kittens 6 months or younger, and $100 for any cat over six months of age. Our fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccines to-date of adoption, and a microchip. Once approved, all adopters are required to sign an adoption contract.
