Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kristoff was rescued from the local shelter, and has been with us at the rescue for quite a while. Our volunteers having been working with him to be a more well-rounded family companion. Because he has learned to guard his kennel, he gets antsy and a little nervous when strangers come around, so he can act like a tough guy. But we're finding that when he is away from his kennel and taking a staycation at one of our foster's home, he can be a totally different dude. Kristoff is around 3-4 years old, a big, strong guy, stunningly handsome, and quite the Velcro dog. He loves being with his people (especially men) and would make an awesome hiking or running partner. Other than getting motion sick occasionally, he rides great in a car. He loves to play fetch, and never seems to run out of energy. He walks well on a leash and knows a few basic commands. He is smart, too, having learned how to use the dog door in no time, and likes a good game of hide-and-seek! We haven't seen a lot of anxiety with this guy, even during thunderstorms. He has jumped his kennel walls at the Rescue a time or two, but when he spends the weekend at his foster's home, he has never attempted to jump. Kristoff will need a strong, experienced handler who is willing to invest time and energy in to making him the perfect family pet. In fact, we're so confident in his abilities, a few of our volunteers will pay for several private 1:1 training sessions with his new adopter. Because of his size and strength, he would fit best with older children and larger dogs. If you have the ability to provide a forever loving home for this boy, and are looking for an INDOOR companion, please fill out our online application to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application on file! Here is the link:
