My name is Desi and I am a Catahoula Leopard boy with no doubt. My foster mom says that I absolutely meet all the criteria of that breed’s description. I am about 10 years old but act like a youngster and have been told that I am a definite keeper. My coat is grey colored with black patches and with some patches of white on my chest, belly and nose. I am 35 lbs light and medium sized. I have a beautiful half marble right blue eye, which is very unique. I love to walk on a leash and go for walks and love to go for car rides as well. I have impressed my foster mom with my charming temperament and how sweet, happy and friendly I am around people, dogs and cats. In my previous life, I was always exposed to cats and dogs and also loved my human owner. It was very hard for me and my other furry friends, when on one day she just went to heaven and all of us had no place to call home anymore. But my loving foster mom helped save all of us before we were euthanized in a kill shelter. We took a trip to the vet right away and received a complete adult check-up. The vet’s office was shocked about my miraculous health and how happy I was in that office. And yes, I am in perfect shape! That is why I love to chase my foster dad’s electrical cars. I love to run and play with my foster parents a lot. However, I am very respectful and grateful to be rescued. Although it sounds like I have tons of energy, at bed time I am done and I sleep the entire night thru. I am a respectable boy inside the house and do not destroy things. I am housetrained and let you know when I need to go outside. And by the way I need to go outside in a fenced yard. I love to lay in the sun. I am no apartment dog. My foster parents say that I am very easy to take care of. I just don’t know my name and do not always come when I am called. I was heartbroken when I first lost my owner and home but I have recovered and am now happy again. I got all my shots, have been neutered, I am heartworm negative, and there is not even a sign of a single flea on my very soft coat anymore.
