Rufus has one motivation in life: Love. We have no idea what his true mix is because "Purebred Sweetheart" isn't a breed, but that's just what he'd be if there was such a thing!! Rufus wandered up on someone's property in Arkansas one day, his tail wagging low in a hopeful way, and head in a submissive posture to let everyone know he was there to be friends. He picked the right house because they let him stay a while and they all had a great time: he followed the middle-schoolers everywhere they went like he was one of them! Rufus is very friendly with other dogs, he wags his tail at just a glance his way, and he ignores cats -- his motto is "Live and let live". Sudden loud noises and some men can make him timid, though, so we think maybe someone was not the nicest to him in his past. With his gentle personality, we know that nurturing, patience and kindness will always be the best approach to helping this sweet, loving boy build up his confidence. He's really just a Big Baby. We think Rufus is about 10 months old, weighs about 45 pounds and he is a healthy boy.
