Hobi's Story...
This poor boy has been locked on a heavy chain with hardly any shelter since he was 5 months old. He is now about 5 yrs old and has been rescued from a horrible life of neglect and no food. He is fearful but is now in a home that is teaching him life can be wonderful for a beautiful saint bernard and he is being fed (FINALLY). As the days go by and Hobi gains our trust, he will open up more and more and show us that fantastic personality that we already see in his sad eyes. Please consider opening up your heart and home to this great fella. He will only be adopted out to a home with big dog experience and have him as an indoor pet - to never be banished to a lonely backyard. If you are interested in this wonderful dog, please call Jessica at 516-404-4067 for further information. He will be UTD shots/neutr'd and properly evaluated prior to placement. Thank you for considering this great guy for your family and home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobi, a Pittsburgh St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
